Generation 2

The second generation of Chevrolet Camaro debuted for the 1970 model year. This new generation of Camaro continued the manufacturing techniques established by its predecessor, but was an entirely new car featuring much more rounded styling. The second generation was only offered in a two door coupe body style, dropping the convertible offered for the First Generation Camaro.  On top of the base model, the ‘RS’ appearance package, ‘SS’ performance package, and ’Z28’ Special Performance Package were offered. Chevrolet built the second generation until 1981, when it was replaced by the Third Generation Camaro.
